A huge 93 million € investment from CMS in Izmir

CMS Jant is preparing to invest 93 million € in İzmir. It is aimed to produce 2,5 million aluminum alloy wheels annually at the new factory which will create employment opportunities for 600 people.

CMS, the leading aluminum alloy wheel manufacturer of Turkey and one of the leading manufacturers in the world, will invest 93 million € in Izmir. The company will build a new factory next to the existing factory in Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Site and will provide employment opportunities for 600 people. The new facility, which will be built on an area of ​​38 thousand 385 square meters, will produce 2.5 million pieces of aluminum alloy wheel. The construction of the factory has started and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2018.

Bertuğ Ösen, Chairman of CMS Jant, making statements regarding this issue, said that they have made the new investment decision due to the increasing domestic and international demand. Bertuğ Ösen, who stated that CMS produces 9 million aluminum alloy wheels per year at its current production facility in Izmir, and they aim to achieve a capacity increase of more than 10 percent and plan to produce 12 million aluminum alloy wheels in 2022.

Emphasizing that they are producing aluminum alloy wheels for the biggest automobile manufacturers in the world, Ösen said:  “We produce aluminum alloy wheels for Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, Ford, Fiat Group, Renault, Nissan, Honda, Dacia, Lexus and Suzuki brands. During the past year, we exported 7 million aluminum alloy wheels to various parts of the world, Europe being in the first place.
