R&D Center

CMS CMS In 2009, CMS  R&D Center became official with the 66 -person team by getting the R&D center certificate and funded by Government. Currently  R&D center consisting of 110 person  with 31 postgraduate and 57 graduate professionals works in order to create superior competitive products and ideas in the sector, to increase the energy efficiency and resource usage and to develop continuous improvement and new production methods. R&D center has a multidisciplinary staff consisting of graduated from metallurgy and materials science, mechanical, computer and chemical engineering and fundamental sciences.

R&D center has been keeping their works with completed, ongoing and in preparation projects including 10 TUBITAK, 5 SANTEZ, 1 Erasmus+ and 1 Manunet projects, 17 patent and utility model applications and 29 design registrations. The outputs obtained from developed projects are presented with reports or posters or are sent to scientific journals as a scientific publication.

R&D Center management emphasis on cooperation between universities and industry additionally formalizes the studies by creating protocols with universities particularly in the Aegean region. Protocols were signed with Ege University, Dokuz Eylül University, Sakarya University and Izmir Institute of Technology and discourses have been held with the other universities that are worked together. Improvement of university-industry activities is supported under these signed protocols by supporting the thesis of undergraduate and graduate students, assigning a project based task to undergraduate students in their summer-internships, giving seminars with the participation of specialized personnel in R&D Center at the universities.
